GAN Receives First US Real Money Gambling License from New Jersey Regulators
GAN, online gaming provider has been awarded its first ever US real money online gambling license. The issuance of the license was made by New Jersey regulators Tuesday. GAN made the announcement that they were the proud recipient of the Casino Service Industry Enterprise license issued by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
GAN submitted its original application 4 years ago, so this is a great achievement. Dermot Smurfit, GAN CEO says it’s an honor to receive the approval of the license. He also stayed that this warrants the companies, “guaranteed integrity and strong compliance profile of our current and historic business activities, clean source of investment funds and the unquestioned suitability of our major shareholders, directors and employees.”
Smurfit also commented that the new license “should not be underestimated” with the company’s stance when it comes to obtaining licenses in other states in the near future, and if other states join the three that have legalized online gambling.
GAN was known as GameAccount Network and provided Betfair’s online casino in the garden state its technology platform back in 2013 when it was first launched. GAN has made its presence in the online industry with joining Italy’s online market, but is now striving to join more regions for real money activities.
