Piggs Peak Casino Closes Down After Stating they Wouldn’t
Just last week the General Manager of Piggs Peak Casino said that it was going to be business as usual in South Africa despite the high courts ruling that online gambling was illegal has now announced that they are shutting down operations in South Africa until after the appeal process has been completed. With this turn of events, it looks like Piggs Peak Casino is not that sure of itself after all. Based out of Swaziland, where they operate a land based casino and a online casino, Piggs Peak owner operators were advised to stop taking punters bets and any form of online gaming in South Africa until the laws are clear on South African players playing at their Swaziland licensed internet casino.
Operations Director, Lew Saul Koor stated that last week when they announced that it would be business as usual for Piggs Peak Casino despite the new high court ruling, we believed that until our appeal was resolved we could operate freely, but we have now been advised that all operations should be stopped until such time that a decisive decision has been made in the Pretoria High Court. He went on to say, “In your interests we have taken the step to stop operating at Midnight August 28th until our application for appeal has been heard and the outcome is announced, which we feel should take no more than a week or two”.
Players who have existing balances in their Piggs Peak Accounts can still withdraw their monies by contacting the support center via email.
