Maryland’s newest gaming and entertainment experience located at Arundel Mills Mall, is promising it will be one of the largest casino and entertainment venues in the US.

To help kick off the new gaming facility, Maryland Live! Casino in advance of the opening celebration, launched the gaming industry’s first play-for-fun online casino – Myliveonlinecasino.com – this free online gaming website allows gaming enthusiasts to play their favorite slots games, win virtual credits, compete in online tournaments, and sign-up early for the Live! Rewards players card.

The actual facility, is a $500 million multi-use complex spanning 12 acres, it includes 4,750 slot machines and electronic table games like Blackjack, Roulette, Mini-Baccarat and Pai-Gow Poker, nationally-acclaimed restaurants, an entertainment venue and other first-class amenities.

Las Vegas-based Aristocrat Technologies has filed an application with state regulators to become one of the first firms to offer online poker in the state of Nevada. Since the company is already licensed by the state, President Nick Khin is hopeful gaming regulators will approve their application “fairly soon.” The approvals are expected by the end of the first quarter of 2012.

Nick Khin said the application focuses on providing online gaming technology, allowing the company to be a “platform provider” to brick-and-mortar casinos.

Khin said the company has been pitching its Internet casino platform to some 270 casino clients since Global Gaming Expo, or G2E, in October. “The platform allows our clients to market a virtual casino to its customers to play for free, when the law changes it will allow them to move into a play for real-money site,” Khin said.

Aristocrat also announced today that it has entered into an intellectual property (IP) license agreement with Shuffle Master Australasia Pty Ltd.

Aristocrat Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Jamie Odell said Shuffle Master’s decision to enter into the IP license agreement represents the importance of Aristocrat’s intellectual property to the gaming machine industry.

“Aristocrat’s IP is a crucial company asset and the company will continue to proactively leverage its extensive IP portfolio as a core part of our business strategy.” Mr Odell said.
