Scientific Games Corp. Announced on Monday its Appointment of Karin-Joyce Tjon as New Chief Operating Officer and President

Scientific Games announced the appointment of Karin-Joyce Tjon as the new President and Chief Operating Officer. Tjon’s appointment took effect February 13 with responsibilities including, but not limited to driving the company’s organizational strategy for its business and fiscal discipline developments as well as overseeing the gaming and lottery operations.

Tjorn joins the company after servicing as Executive Vice President and CRO of Epiq Systems. She oversaw risk compliance, legal, international corporate finance and corporate governance with the leading global provider of integrated technology and services, Epiq Systems.

Tjon will report directly to Kevin Sheehan, Scientific Games’ CEO. Sheehan commented on the appointment with,

“We have tremendous confidence in KJ’s ability to lead our long-term growth strategy and execution, and continue the strong growth across all of our businesses. Her deep experience in international finance, performance accountability, and culture transformation will further enhance our ability to deliver for our customers, employees and our shareholders.”

Tjon has an MBA in Finance which she earned from Columbia University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior and Management. Tjorn is very qualified for her positions with Scientific Games with several years of experience under her belt.
