Online Gambling Bonuses & Promotions

A majority of our complaints about online casino scams are due to the fact that players are confused about the terms and conditions of online bonuses.

Many times when addressing a complaint about an online casino or report that a player has not received a payout, our first response is, “did you read and completely understand the terms and conditions outlined by the bonus offered?

More times than often the answer is No!

Unfortunately, this is something that makes for a lot of misunderstandings along the way and it leads to players giving online casinos a bad reputation.

On the other side of the coin however, players have contacted us that do read the terms and conditions, have complied with the wagering requirements and find themselves a victim to an online scam.

Wagering Requirements

So lets start off by understanding the basic principles of a signup bonus.

Most online operators offer players an incentive for registering a new account at their online casino, poker room or online bingo hall.

For example, a common sign up bonus would read something like this:

125% Initial Deposit Bonus! Receive a 125% BONUS on your initial Deposit FREE!

That sounds like who’s on first to most people especially if they are new to online gambling and have never gone through the process of:

a. selecting an online casino
b. registering for an account
c. selecting a deposit option

Now let’s break down the bonus into a mathematical equation:

Deposit $20 to $100 and get a 125% bonus OR Deposits from $101 to $100,000 and get $125 FREE on the first $100 plus an extra 25% on remaining portion of your deposit!

Bonus Example: Deposit $350 and get $125 on the first $100 of your deposit plus 25% ($62.50) on the remaining $250.
A total of $187.50 ($125 + $62.50 = $187.50) in bonuses giving you a starting balance of ($350 + $187.50 = ) $537.50!

Now don’t forget you still have to read the terms and conditions as they do apply:

For example in the above, you may have to use that initial bonus on certain games, meet a wagering requirement, this usually is wagering xxx amount of times your deposit plus bonus on valid games, etc.

The same applies for all types of bonuses, i.e., free play, no deposit bonuses, etc., it is important to read the terms and condition and understand the wagering requirements you must meet in order to receive payouts and deposits to your players account.

With that all said we hope this helps when selecting an online casino based on deposit bonuses and if you have become a victim to an online casino scam, please use the form to the right or on our contact page to submit your complaint.

And remember to, Play Smart from the Start!
