International Game Technology Secures its Contract with the Florida Lottery, Signs New Deal Throughout 2031
IGT, International Game Technology signed an extension strengthening their position with serving the Florida Lottery. The agreement originally intended on being just for 10 years, but Florida Lottery has already exercised their renewal options with the gaming provider so that the contract and partnership runs through 2031 at the least.
Details of the agreement deal which was done through IGT Global Solutions Corporation, IGT’s subsidiary includes a wide range of lottery services and solutions will be offered to the state such as replacing the existing retail terminal base Altura Flex and supply the Aurora MultiMedia in-store and Gemini self-service lottery machines for draw and instant based games.
Senior Vice President for North America Lottery at IGT, Jay Gendron released a statement on the new agreement saying,
“Since 2005, the Florida Lottery and IGT have worked together to implement solutions and initiatives that have been key to the Lottery’s growth The Lottery’s close attention to the needs of players and retailers has been instrumental in making it among the world’s most successful and respected lotteries – and serves as a model for driving lottery growth through effective branding and innovation. Working together, our aligned organizations can build on this success even further for the benefit of Florida’s education program.”
According to the recent report on the new deal, the Florida Lottery generated record sales of $6.06 billion in its fiscal year 2015-16, represented its fifth consecutive record-breaking sales year. The Lottery’s total contribution to education since its startup is more than $30 billion.
