Canada’s New Online Gambling Website Crashes

I was interested in seeing what British Colombia’s new online gambling site (playnow.com) was all about but when I tried to login today the site said “We are experiencing technical difficulties and will have the matter corrected shortly”. Not a great start to what appears to be a promising venture for North American online gambling.

After doing some research it looks like the announcement of the website’s launch was underestimated. Thousands of Canadians logged on to the server thus creating a cyber meltdown of their website. Looks like Canadians that have been waiting for years to gamble legally online will have to wait a little longer until the servers and more bandwidth are available.
