Apple is always a step ahead in technology and we were wondering if it could be that the iPad is the gadget that will take online gambling to the next level.

By next level we mean is if the touch screen and the connectivity concept are good for gaming and if the sites will be providing services and supporting it. Apple is an expert in delivering to a mass market which makes it worth for developers to build applications for the device.

Sales on the iPad reached one million in only 28 days and there are 80 million iPads out there up for sale. The iPad is a great device designed for comfort and there is nothing that online gamblers love more than to be able to do their favorite activity with complete comfort.

Betfair was one of the first companies to develop software when the iPhone came out and then all the major sportsbooks followed. We believe that if enough iPads are sold this trend will follow.

The only issue is that some casinos and poker sites do not have Apple Mac friendly software and that could make the growth of this way of gambling slightly more difficult.
