2010 wsopThe 2010 World Series of Poker have been going on for a while and as of today, about 40 bracelets out of the 57 have been won. Every event has been somewhat interesting but there are some prominent tales that made all the headlines and that are worth mentioning.

First of all, there is Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan who has been participating in various events looking forward to secure his first WSOP bracelet. He is a very skilled player and came really close to take that bracelet during Event 11: $1,500 NL Hold’em, when he made it to heads-up play against Simon Watt.

Unfortunately, things did not work out for Dwan in the end and we are all still waiting to see if he will succeed in his purposes. However, the word is that if he had won that bracelet he would have won about $8 million in side bets.

Another story that made the news was when 10 men decided to enter the ladies only event. They did it as a type of protest to having a non-open event at the Series; however, the fact that Shaun Deeb dressed up as a woman and that another player tried to use a tampon as a card protector kind of drove away from the message.

We have already covered Phil Ivey’s eighth bracelet story, Frank Kassela has already won two bracelets and a lot of notables have come close to winning one but have not really managed to. We will get back with more stories as the Tournament of Champions is coming up and also the Main Event is only one week away!
