Today, we will give you a general update on what has been going on since May 28th at the 2010 World Series of Poker at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. There is still a long way ahead of us to see all of the events play out, but we have also seen some interesting action so far that is worth talking about.

At Event #2, the $50,000 Poker Players Championship saw Michael and Robert Mizrachi, John Juanda, Daniel Alaei and Nick Schulman meet at the final table for a great battle. In the end it was Michael ‘The Grinder’ Mizrachi who took down the bracelet and the $1.5 million prize.

Event #3, a $1,500 NL Hold’em event was another highlight, it attracted over 4,000 entrants. Aadam Dava took it down and Men ‘The Master’ Nguyen fought for it fiercely but was eliminated in 46th place. However, he announced that he came to the 2010 WSOP to add another bracelet to his repertoire.

The other event that caused excitement was Event #10, the 10,000 buy in Seven Card Stud World Championship and this was when men ‘The Master’ Nguyen added the 7th WSOP bracelet to his wrist. Michael ‘The Grinder’ Mizrachi made it to the final table of this event as well, he seems to be proving he is in this for real.

However, the event that made the tabloids was Event #11 as I am sure millions of players went bankrupted after Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan finished second to poker pro from New Zealand, Simon Watt. Players from around the world had bet millions to Dwan taking his first bracelet, but this did not happen; however, we are still waiting to see him take an event down this year.
